WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield PBA Local 90 is gearing up for its third annual car, Jeep and motorcycle show this weekend, complete with refreshments, games and plenty of entertainment.

The event,  set for Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is an opportunity for community members to mingle with members of the police department, show chairman Officer Chris Forcenito said.

“It is very important for an event like this because it brings the police department closer to the community and gets them to see a side of the police department they don’t usually get to see,” Forcenito said. “Furthermore, we think it’s great for the community to have extra events to attend during the summer months, besides the Spring Fling and Pizza Run.”

This year, the public can expect two movie replica vehicles from the movie “Transformers” — Optimus Prime and Barricade, six food trucks, more than 25 vendors, a face painter and henna tattoo artist, a bounce house, carnival games and live DJ Hot Rod Mike. There will also be trophies, raffles and door prizes.

“This year’s show is packed with fun and bigger than ever,” Forcenito said. “We’re expecting over 200 vehicles this year.”

That includes 155 cars seen at last year’s show, as well as dozens of classic cars, motorcycles and Jeeps, organizers said.
