BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - We have entered the second wave of this horrible COVID-19 pandemic. The Berkeley Heights Business & Civic in partnership with TAPinto Berkeley Heights ask you to do your part in helping to keep our businesses open and town safe by taking the BH Cares Pledge.

"We know kids can help make a difference in limiting the spread of Covid-19 and hope this is a fun way they can be part of the solution in kicking this darn virus out our town!” said Dr. Patrick Smith of the Smith Chiropractic Foundation. “The Smith Chiropractic Foundation wants to get our local students involved in helping our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Knowing that kids love Dunkin and Starbucks, we thought why not reward them for taking the pledge to wear a face mask when needed, socially distance when needed and wash/sanitize their hands when coming and going about town, they could help keep our businesses open and town safer."

"We partnered with our Berkeley Heights Dunkin and Starbucks at The Park (located at the Embassy Suites in Connell Park) and have $1,000 in gift cards to award to those BH students who simply go to our BHB&C site, sign the pledge and each week, for as long as it takes, we will select (four or five) winners who will receive a $10 gift card to either the Berkeley Heights Dunkin or the Starbucks at The Park," said Smith.

BH Cares is a grassroots program presented by BHB&C and TAPinto Berkeley Heights with sponsorship from 10 local businesses and participation by dozens more. "BH Cares invites everyone to sign the pledge so that together we get through this terrible time healthier. The Smith Chiropractic Foundation is honored to partner with BH Cares!” said Smith.

To participate and enter for your chance to win, simply sign the "BH Cares Pledge." In doing this, you agree to wear your face covering around town, use social distancing when necessary and wash or sanitize your hands often.  Taking this pledge shows that you care about the safety of our community and that you are doing your part to keep our local businesses open during this pandemic.

In return for signing the "BH Cares Pledge," our local businesses have rallied in an effort to say “Thank You.”  Each week five residents will be randomly selected from the “I signed the Pledge” list to receive some 'BH Swag' including gift cards to local restaurants and stores, merchandise, valuable prizes and more!

Berkeley Heights students have two to ways to win $10 gift cards to either Starbucks at The Park located in Connell Park @ Embassy Suites or the Berkeley Heights Dunkin.

  • First, simply take the pledge by clicking here and be randomly chosen!
  • Second, get "caught in the act" by our Blue. BHPD has partnered with BH Cares to randomly hand out these $10 gift cards each week to local students about town or Snyder Park “caught in the act” of wearing their face covering.

These student gift cards, (in the amount of $1,000) were made possible by a grant from the Smith Chiropractic Foundation in partnership with both the Berkeley Heights Starbucks & Dunkin.

Take the "BH Cares Pledge" and help us keep our community healthy and our beautiful town open.
