NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Linda Tribuna, from Berkeley Heights, recently celebrated her 10th year in business as owner of Linda's Creative Gifts in New Providence.

"Thank you all for being here. I am very excited for my 10 years and hopefully 10 more years to go. I love supporting the artists, so cheers," said Tribuna. Linda's Creative Gifts carries one-of-a-kind unique gifts you will not find anywhere else.

Tribuna first opened in Stirling and moved to a larger space in Adams Shopping Center in New Providence three years ago. Not only does her store support local artists, she is an active supporter of the borough and business community.

New Providence Councilwoman Nadine Geoffroy stopped by to congratulate Tribuna and to emphasize how important small business is to New Providence. "In fact, it's not just small business -- supporting small business and small local artists from our town and all surrounding towns is so important. You are such a vital part of our community -- so we thank you," said Geoffroy. "And for someone that needs to buy small gifts, I thank you and will continue to support you. To 10 more years."

Berkeley Heights Mayor Angie Devanney also stopped by and received a tour of this hidden gem. Tribuna explained that her inventory is unique. "I try not to just buy," she said of the products in her store. "I like the inspirational meaning behind the artists," she said as she pointed to the different pieces.

The pocketbooks and wine carriers are old recycled tarps from the marines. She also likes the story behind an artist from California. "They work with home based moms who can not afford daycare." While many artists are local, Tribuna will purchase products from around the world if the artist's story is inspirational. "That's why we are different," she said.

"It's just really great, there are so many times you need that gift -- you don't want that generic gift -- you want it personalized. I always find that this is the best place," said Geoffroy.

Devanney is happy to now know the story behind the artists and merchandise at Linda's Creative Gifts. "I am so happy to know about this place -- this is amazing," she said.
