TAPinto: What year was your company founded? Why did you choose to get involved in this business?

Aubrey and Shirley: We opened our studio September, 2018. We wanted to be more accessible to the community on a regular basis. We wanted a lovely space to be able to bring various options for mind and body balance to others. We both have corporate lives and busy families. We know how important it is to have a “retreat space” to go to for better mental and physical health and a little time for self-care. We created this so people can come and unwind and make it a regular part of their lives, children and adults alike.

TAPinto: What is unique about your business?

Aubrey and Shirley: At UNWIND, we are more than just regular yoga classes. We are able to be creative with what we offer and who we get to teach. We have teachers with all different backgrounds and trainings in the various styles of yoga. We have instructors who are trained and experts in restorative yoga, healing singing bowls, crystal energy, kids classes and even animal reiki. Yes. Animal Reiki. We are also crazy passionate to help other local businesses and charities. We dedicate a lot of time to classes and events to help others. We have done private lessons and gifted memberships for those fighting cancer. Co-owner Aubrey's 9 year old daughter won her fight against a pediatric brain tumor last year while we were opening the studio  We do Karma Donation based classes for charities supporting pediatric cancer organizations, including the NP based Brooke Healey Foundation as well as the Semper Fi Fund for our military to Alzheimer's Association.

TAPinto:  What is most important for people to know about your business?

Aubrey and Shirley: We care and want our members to feel that with every class they take. We live in the community and are dedicated to bringing things that have helped us in our life to the community. Our team is dynamic, unique and spirited. You would not be disappointed with the UNWIND team, class and event offering.

TAPinto: What sets you apart from your competition?

Aubrey and Shirley: Our team and our attention to getting to know everyone who comes through our door. You are not a number to us, you are family and we want to know how we can help you on your wellness journey. We also carry our dedication to the community through to our pricing models. making not only our team approachable. but also our pricing.  We believe that wellness should be available and reachable for everyone to find a place where they can care of their minds and bodies, de-stress, reset and UNWIND.
