Dear Parents and Staff,
Our Berkeley Heights Board of Education would like to express our support and our appreciation to Dr. Melissa Varley, Scott McKinney, our district administrators, and our staff for acting swiftly and being proactive in the face of the Coronavirus.
Unbeknownst to many, our team has worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to prepare for the possibility of remote instruction, which will be in place for the next two weeks, and possibly beyond. We would also like to thank the parents and the community, many whom contacted both the Board and the Superintendent with their helpful information and support. As we shared at Thursday night’s board meeting, the success of the remote learning platform is going be a community-wide effort, with everyone working together, which will enable the school district to continue to provide instruction and foster learning during this unique time.
This is both a challenging and unprecedented time for our district as we navigate into uncharted waters. Rest assured that the safety of our children and staff is at the forefront of our minds and planning.
Thank you in advance for helping make this difficult time ‘work as well as it can’.
