BERKELEY HEIGHTS - The Berkeley Heights School District will be accepting online applications in December and January for the 2020-2021 MKM Preschool and William Woodruff Full Day Kindergarten lottery. To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Berkeley Heights Township.

The online application is located on the Mary Kay McMillin Early Childhood Center and district websites under the "Registration" link.

Lottery applications will be accepted between December 9, 2019, and January 15, 2020. The lottery will take place on January 22, 2020, and parents will be notified of acceptance by January 31, 2020.

Applicants for the MKM ECC Preschool Program must have birth dates between October 2, 2015, and October 1, 2017.

The annual Preschool tuition rate will be $3,750. A birth certificate and proof of residency will be required upon registration along with a non-refundable deposit of $375. The deposit will be applied to the first month's tuition.

The Preschool Program will consist of four sections of mixed groupings of three- and four-year-old children. Classes will meet four days per week, Monday through Thursday, from 8:45 to 11:15 a.m. for the morning session or from 12:10 to 2:40 p.m. for the afternoon session. Requests for morning or afternoon session placement cannot be accommodated.

Applicants for the William Woodruff Full Day Kindergarten must be five years old on or before October 1, 2020.

The annual FDK tuition rate will be $7,500. Students who qualify for free/reduced lunch will be handled on a case-by-case basis. A birth certificate and proof of residency will be required upon registration along with a non-refundable deposit of 50% will be due by March 16, 2020, and the final payment will be due by July l, 2020.
