BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Berkeley Heights Public Schools will be open on Wednesday, March 11. The custodial crews have done an excellent job scrubbing every nook and cranny of all six school buildings, said Dr. Melissa Varley, Superintendent of Berkeley Heights Schools.
Varley sent a letter announcing the closing of schools for Tuesday, March 10 after learning of a parent of a student tested positive for COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus.
"We are ready to open schools for our students and staff tomorrow. I still believe that we are all at a low risk," said Varley.
She further advised, "It is prudent for us all to wash our hands with soap and water. This includes whether you're at school, after a visit to the grocery store, the pharmacy, the ATM, etc."
Guidelines from the CDC.
