BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Doug Reinstein, President of the Berkeley Heights Board of Education, has announced that the Board will be seeking input from the community as it embarks on a search for a new Berkeley Heights Superintendent of Schools.
“As you may be aware, the Berkeley Heights Board of Education has initiated a search for a new Superintendent of Schools,” said Reinstein. “To support us through this important process, we have retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in assisting Boards with the consideration of candidates for Superintendent of Schools.
“A key step in this process is to identify the characteristics we will be seeking in our new Superintendent of Schools,” continued Reinstein. “We would greatly appreciate input and assistance with this important task. The Board of Education, therefore, is inviting members of the community to attend an Open Forum – four sessions are scheduled - and/or complete an online survey.”
The Open Forums, which will be facilitated by a member of the search firm, will be held on the following dates:
Monday, December 10th: Berkeley Heights Municipal Building, 29 Park Avenue, Berkeley Heights; 9 a.m. in the Public Meeting Room.
Monday, December 10th: Deerfield School, 302 Central Avenue, Mountainside; 7 p.m. in the Media Center.
Tuesday, December 11th: Columbia Middle School, 345 Plainfield Avenue, Berkeley Heights; 7 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Wednesday, December 12th: Governor Livingston High School, 175 Watchung Boulevard, Berkeley Heights; 7 p.m. in the Auditorium.
The online survey will be available at www.bhpsnj.org beginning on December 10th and closing on December 21st. A community-wide e-mail will be distributed when the survey is open.
“The Board of Education greatly appreciates all assistance with this most important task,” added Mr. Reinstein. “We will be sharing the results of the feedback at a future Board of Education meeting.”
