On the topic of running against incumbent Councilwoman Kingsley, Tom Maciejewski said: “I would like to thank Councilwoman Jeanne Kingsley for her decade of service, however, some of the major long term projects she has backed over her term in office has led and continues to lead to an unsustainable tax burden.

Berkeley Heights residents are concerned about the recent events regarding COVID-19, the looming recession and the financial situation of our town.  While the taxpayers, including businesses, are tightening their belts, now is the time for the township to do so as well.”

George de Luna added, “Our Respect the Taxpayers ticket is running on a platform of Honesty, Transparency and Conservatism. This is the ticket and the direction that our township needs right now.

The Berkeley Heights residents need a change of representation. They need representation that is fiscally empathetic to everyone.  Our Township has gone through a time of massive spending. The taxpayers have been very generous, but they have had enough.  Now is the time that they need a change. The residents need a break from all of the spending.”

One thing is for sure!  Berkeley Heights needs a change of direction and new people on the Council. Fresh eyes rather than business as usual. The Respect the Taxpayer ticket of Edmund Tom Maciejewski and George de Luna is just what Berkeley Heights needs now.
