BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ -- Delicious Heights in Berkeley Heights is closed for business for an undetermined period of time beginning today because an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The restaurant let its patrons know of the closing by posting a message on Facebook.

The employee "was in close contact with a person outside of the restaurant who tested positive for COVID-19," according to the post. The restaurant, bar and-take out are closed as of today, Wednesday, Nov. 11, while the restaurant is receiving "a deep cleaning" and being sanitized according to the post. 

The restaurant will reopen "once we are sure that we have followed CDC guidelines regarding the testing of all employees and conferring with Union County OEM and local health department," according to the post which was signed by the Delicious Heights Management Team.

The feedback from the restaurant's Facebook friends was supportive of the restaurant's efforts to provide a safe environment for its patrons and employees. Posters also sent their best wishes to the employee who tested positive, and the rest of the staff.
