If it’s Thursday it must be time to visit the Rescue Squad! Come by our Open House/Meet&Greet. 7 to 9 pm. Stop by for refreshments. Meet our Members. Tour the Ambulances.
Are you curious about the Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad (BHVRS)? Have you thought about joining? Are you unsure how you could fit one more thing into your busy week?
Our members felt the same way. Many of us have full-time jobs in and outside the home, children, and some attend school. The BHVRS makes it easy to volunteer. Members have the option of riding at night or during the day—and you do not need to stay at the building when you are on shift.
Most of our members did not work in the health care field before we became EMTs. You do not need any medical training. We will teach you everything you need to know—and we do not ask you for more than you can give or handle. All you need is a desire to learn and help.
Come stop by our Open House/Meet & Greet, every Thursday night from 7-9pm at the Rescue Squad located at 378 Snyder Avenue. Learn about what it is like to be on the BHVRS. Tour our ambulances, have some refreshments, bring the family! Watch for info on our Special Open House on March 12! For more information visit: www.bhvrs.org
Help us help others. And see what a difference it makes in your own life!
Did you know….
The BHVRS is staffed entirely by volunteers. We never charge for any of our services. We are funded, not by tax dollars, but nearly entirely by donations.
The BHVRS is comprised of NJ certified EMTs, associates in training, high school cadets, and non-medical auxiliary. We are actively recruiting for certified EMTs or those wishing to pursue this goal.
