BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Lisa Plocinski, owner and lead trainer at On The Ball Dog Training in Berkeley Heights, held their “First Annual Doggy Drive” in support of Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption, Inc. of Scotch Plains.

Plocinski reached out to Lauren DeNoma, the person in charge of dog adoptions at the organization and asked what items they were most in need of.  Once armed with DeNoma’s wish list, Plocinski requested the support of all the dog owners that train at her center.  “I put out a large box, made some posters, and asked my fellow dog lovers to help make a difference in the lives of dogs still waiting for their forever homes, and they all wanted to help,” Plocinski said. The large collection box was quickly overflowing with leashes, harnesses, collars, toys, and dog treats; cat food was also collected as part of the collection process.

“Donations made through the support of our community is how our organization exists, we are truly grateful to Lisa and the On The Ball clients for making us the recipient of their efforts this holiday season,” said DeNoma. Donations were collected from December 1st through December 20th at On The Ball Dog Training on Summit Avenue, and delivered to BFDAAA on Saturday, December 21st
