BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - When the word ‘cancer’ is mentioned, most people connect through experiences: a sick colleague, a grandparent who passed from cancer after World War II, or a dear friend who battled so bravely that you consider her a warrior.
When Berkeley Heights residents Jig and Jill Chhowalla recently heard the word cancer, it was shocking news regarding their angelic daughter Sophie. A third-grader at Woodruff School, this energetic eight-year-old is now battling stage 4 neuroblastoma. And as they have done so many times before, the local community has rallied to help.
Silver Liming Foundation is supporting Sophie’s journey. To donate directly to Sophie, go to www.silverliming.org and click on “donate to Sophie.” Donations are tax deductible.
If you are holding a fundraiser for Sophie, please email silverlimingforsophie.com with the details. We will help with communication so that more people know about and participate in your event.
