Dear Berkeley Heights Community,

I don’t normally ask for help, but in the time of a global pandemic, things don’t feel very normal right now.

What does feel right, is trying to do something that will help Berkeley Heights, a place I have loved for 30 years, come thru this healthy.

With the needed social distancing restrictions and what our Governor has said will remain in place indefinitely, our local businesses are SICK.

Sudden forced closures and restrictions have created a financial crisis for many, but unlike Covid-19, together we can easily CURE this.

It’s not easy for small businesses to ask for help. We are used to being the ones who always answer the call to help support BH. We support; the PTO fundraisers, sports programs, GL band, plays and scholarships, free summer concerts in the park, Winter Walk, Block Party, 5K road races, charity events and fundraisers of all kinds, this list could fill pages.

Now, we are sick and we need help! The Cure, it lies in the hands of all the good people of Berkeley Heights.

Recently, MANY residents wanted to help, led by Sheryl Manfreda - so along with the Berkeley Heights Business and Civic association, Business Aid: BH was born, with a blue ribbon independent grant committee and a website with 3 easy ways to make tax deductible secure donations-So you the good people of BH, can be healers by making small donations today.

If every resident made a $4 donation this week and a $4 donation next week -- together we could make emergency relief grants to 38 small businesses -- our neighbors and friends who we all know and love, make it thru May financially healthier. A healthy small business community helps make Berkeley Heights the special community we all love.

So, as hard as it is to ask, I ask you now, if you can, please make a lifesaving donation today and help prevent some of our small businesses from dying...
