BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Berkeley Heights Township circulates to each neighborhood “section” twice during the fall to collect bagged leaves.  The Township has just released the fall leaf pick up schedule.

Please remember that this schedule is for leaf pick up only.  No trees, branches, vines, grass, metal or any other materials will be accepted. Residents should not have trees cut down and placed at the curb for pickup with this program. There are a few important guidelines to follow:

  • Please put leaves in paper biodegradable bags curbside before the first scheduled date for your section.

  • Plastic bags will not be accepted.

  • Please do not block catch basins or sidewalks.

  • Please do not stack leaf bags on your driveway.

The Township uses a process of loading the leaves into a compacting truck body in order to clean an area safely and efficiently; as a result, bagged leaves must be left at the curb. Once a section is completed, no additional pick up will be scheduled.  There will be no exceptions to the published schedule.

Please contact Public Works with any questions prior to putting out your leaf bags at 908-464-2700, ext. 2167.
