BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – DeMaio’s Ristorante owner Sal Passalacqua accepted a proclamation from the Mayor at the beginning of Tuesday’s Township Council meeting, celebrating the restaurant’s fortieth anniversary and the owners’ contribution to the township.
Mayor Robert Woodruff presented Sal Passalacqua a proclamation which read:
Whereas, DiMaio’s Ristorante has been operating in our township for many years, providing delicious food and friendly service to both non-residents and residents; and
Whereas, Sal and Tammy Passalacqua, the chefs and owners of DiMaio’s are celebrating their fortieth year in business in Berkeley Heights; and
Whereas, part of DiMaio’s success comes from Sal using his traditional family recipes from his youth in Sicily, and
Whereas, DiMaio’s Ristorante generously donates food to the Township’s Emergency Responders during storms and frequently participates in community events;
Now, therefore be it resolved that the May and Township Council of the Township of Berkeley Heights would like to give special recognition to the Passalacqua’s generosity to our community and emergency responders.
Be it futher resolved that copies of this resolution are to be forwarded to Sal and Tammy Passalacqua and the Township Clerk.
