BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The State has not pushed back the May 1 deadline for New Jersey to pay their quarterly property tax payments, despite the COVID-19 health pandemic.

State law also allows for a 10-day grace period for property owners to make their payments without facing penalties. But municipalities are also required to turn over all portions of tax payments that fund local schools and county governments by the middle of the month.

Berkeley Heights residents are being strongly encouraged to pay their taxes on time, by May 1, so that the Township can fully fund this year’s Spring Bulk Pickup.
