lBERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Bernards Township police said that as of Wednesday, Nov. 28, authorities had not made any arrests arrested in connection with a Nov. 23 incident in which two men apparently rang a local doorbell, and then set off fireworks to leave on the porch as their calling card.
Police released both photos and a video of the men who are seen captured on camera as one lights a firework and the other reaches for the doorbell at the Elizabeth Street home.
Police said that the actors rang the victim's doorbell and set off fireworks on their porch at around 1 a.m. on Nov. 23, the night following Thanksgiving.
"We are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying these individuals," a police release posted on Facebook said. The post said similar incidents have occurred in surrounding municipalities.
Police also issued a call-out to those who performed the dangerous prank to "come forward and turn themselves into authorities before someone is seriously hurt or property is damaged."
