NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - As part of the New Providence Memorial Library's ongoing Adult Programs, New Providence resident and Weichert realtor Joe Eberle recently spoke to members of the community about the process of buying a home and how to navigate the local real estate market.
Joe Eberle discussed many of the process steps as well as providing information about types of inspections at a home inspection, interest rates and how their movement affects a buyers purchase power, the different types of flood zones, and required paperwork for a purchase.
Additionally, Eberle provided insights into the current New Providence real estate market. He said, "Many buyers don't realize the significant impact the cost of waiting can have when purchasing a home. A one percent increase in interest rates on a $600,000 purchase could result in the buyer paying up to $100,000 more in interest over the course of a 30 year mortgage."
