BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating a basement fire on Fremont Street that took place early Wednesday morning.
The second alarm fire at 3:23 a.m. was confined to the basement of a three story brick apartment building. Bloomfield firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
