BLOOMFIELD NJ - The community at Temple Ner Tamid collected 525 bags of groceries for Yom Kippur to benefit the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair.
Human Needs Food Pantry Director Michael Bruno offered "a huge thank you" to the community for their generosity with this gift.
The temple holds monthly food drives at the Brookdale ShopRite at which approximately 250 bags of groveries are collected.
The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair provides supplemental nutrition assistance to seniors, veterans and the disabled. Qualiifed clients pick up groceries on Tuesday and Thurdays. Volunteers deliver groceries to the homebound. Bruno explained that "just over half of our clients" are in Bloomfield.
