PASSAIC, NJ-- The Bloomfield High football team won its first game of the season, rallying from 20 down to defeat Passaic, 28-26, on Oct. 15, in Passaic. It was Bloomfield's first game at Passaic since 2013, when the Bengals won, 10-0.
Bloomfield trailed, 26-6 heading into the fourth quarter, before a frenzied rally in the final 12 minutes.
The game was actually pushed up a day, since inclement weather was predicted for Oct. 16. The Bengals improved to 1-2 on the season and will attempt to reach the .500 mark, when it visits Barringer, on Oct. 24, in Newark, in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
