Each candidate expressed their gratitude to the community:

Jenny Mundell (D) - First Ward

I'm grateful for the support of residents of the first ward. I'm excited to keep the momentum going, to have my name appear alongside Bloomfield's own Freeholder candidate Carlos Pomares, and to be running with Sara Cruz and Nick Joanow.  But we can't be complacent.  Now is the time to build support for and encourage voter turnout in November.  Bloomfield - your voice matters. Your vote matters!

Nick Joanow (D) - Second Ward

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the voters of the 2nd Ward for your support.  I appreciate your participation in today''s primary.

Look forward to seeing you again in November.

Sara Cruz (D

I am excited about moving forward to become elected to the Town Council in Bloomfield.  I will work hard to represent the third Ward and all my Bloomfield neighbors.

I spent my formative years in Essex county, went to Rutgers and 17 years ago my husband and I planted roots Bloomfield for our 3 children I'm a Jersey girl! I love this town and I am excited to be a part of its progress under Mayor Venezia's leadership.

I plan to hold community meetings to hear from everyone about ideas and concerns. I want to use my skills and experience in community and youth development right here at home.

Congratulations to my running mates. With citizen input and their leadership I am confident about the pace and path of positive change in our town.
