BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- According to the latest report from Essex County, Bloomfield has seen the total number of COVID-19 cases rise to 1014.  Although the number is high, the percentage of new daily cases has greatly decreased over the past few weeks.  The total number of fatalities from COVID-19 in the Township is 56.  

According to a report issued by the county, the age group with the highest case occurrence is 30-49 with 33.5% of all cases.  50-64 is next at 29.9%. The highest number of deceased patients is the 65-79 group followed by 80 plus.
