BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- The warm weather returned last weekend and the timing was perfect for Bloomfield's Fiesta Latina event held at Millbank Park from 4-8 p.m.  The event was in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and was hosted by Mayor Michael Venezia, the Township Council, Bloomfield Community Garden Committee and the Department of Parks and Recreation.

Millbank Park, located on North 17th Street, was lively with music, delicious food and activities for the kids.  The socially distant event was free to all.

"It’s important to celebrate the many Latin cultures represented in our community. This event is one way to do that, to bring people together to honor and recognize our Latin Bloomfield citizens through music art and food is a great pleasure and honor to do for the community. Despite a pandemic it was well attended and we only look to grow next year," said Councilwoman Sara Cruz.
