BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Residents are invited to enter a photography contest, with the winning photographs being displayed on the Bloomfield Township website and upcoming mobile app. The subject of these photos can be any iconic Bloomfield Township buildings, landscapes, or landmarks.

As part of the township’s efforts to improve communications with residents and make public information more easily attainable, the township has commissioned Civic Plus, a website developer, to revamp and modernize the municipal website and develop a township mobile app, two priorities identified by residents in a survey distributed in May.

“We in Bloomfield are fortunate to have both a booming downtown and suburban areas with beautiful parks and fields. We are also home to hundreds of talented artists, whose works have been proudly displayed at pop-up galleries and public spaces,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “To make the new municipal website and mobile app fit the spirit of Bloomfield, members of the Township Council and I are opening this contest to the public, and encouraging residents of all ages to test their skills behind the camera by submitting original, high resolution pictures of iconic Bloomfield views and structures.”
