BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield Police Department's Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested and charged an 18 year old man in connection with a Jan 7 robbery on Ashland Ave.
Members of the team apprehended Josiah Wade at a residence in Newark in the early morning of Jan. 30. He was discovered hiding in a closet in that residence.
Wade was charges with robbery and was transferred to the Essex County Correctional facility. He will be answering charges in the Superior Court.
Bloomfield Police Director Samuel DeMaio commended the diligent work of the Fugitive Apprehension Team and lauded their successes.
“This newly formed unit has far exceeded my expectations in removing dangerous criminals from our streets. We will work tirelessly to remove our township of those who choose to come here and commit crimes that diminish the quality of life of our citizens." stated DeMaio.
