Shoplifting:

10/22/2020-Officers responded to 77 Bloomfield Avenue (Walgreens) on a report of a shoplifting. The store manager observed a Caucasian male enter the store wearing a red hat and white and red pants. This male concealed numerous razor blades valued at $200.00 and left the store without paying. This incident is under investigation. A picture of the suspect is included.

10/22/2020-Edil Hernandez-Torres age 37 of Newark NJ. Officers responded to the area of 543 Bloomfield Avenue on a report of a burglary into auto that had just occurred. The owner of the vehicle observed Mr. Torres carrying his tool bag that was in his truck. Officers located Mr.Torres and arrested him for burglary and theft. Mr. Torres was issued a summons and released. He has a pending court date.

Theft:

10/20/2020-An officer took a report of a stolen bicycle that occurred in the basement of 70 Park Avenue. The owners bicycle was left in the
laundry room of the apartment building at approximately 1:00 p.m. on 10/18/2020. When she returned for the bike at 9:30 p.m. on 10/20/2020,
the bike was not there. The bicycle is a Land Rider Deluxe valued at $399.00. This incident is under investigation.

10/20/2020-Officers responded to the area of Franklin Street and Berkeley Avenue on report of a fight in progress. Upon the officer’s arrival, a
female was involved in an altercation with two female customers. After a physical altercation, one of the female suspects stole the complainants’
IPhone 10 valued at $600.00. This incident is under investigation.

10/22/2020-Officers responded to 1263 Broad Street (Krauszers) on report of a theft of a credit card. Officers spoke with the complainant who left his debit card inside the machine and when he returned for the card, it was gone. A suspect was captured on video surveillance taking the card and leaving the store. This incident is under investigation.

MV Theft:

10/21/2020-An officer took a report of a stolen motor vehicle that occurred sometime during the overnight hours on 10/20/2020-10/21/2020.
The owner of the vehicle parked his black 2006 Jaguar SR, NJ registration Z29MLV in front of his residence on Davey Street. When the
complainant returned on 10/21/2020, the vehicle was gone. The owner left a set of car keys inside the car. The vehicle was recovered in Newark,
NJ. This incident is under investigation.

10/25/2020-Officers responded to the area of 204 Berkeley Avenue on report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the owner
of the vehicle, who was delivering for Door Dash. He was delivering an order to the above address and left his black 2007 Toyota Camry, NJ
registration JLZ6426 running. When he was returned, he observed a black vehicle next to his vehicle and an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and fled the scene with his car. This incident is under investigation. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.
