Theft from Auto:
10/5/2020-Officers responded to Chadwick Drive on report of a theft from auto that occurred during the overnight hours. The resident parked his vehicle on 10/4/2020 at 11:30 p.m. When he returned to the vehicle at 8:00 a.m., the vehicle was ransacked. The vehicle was left unlocked and no forced entry was used to enter. The vehicle’s insurance card and registration were taken. This incident is under investigation.
10/10/2020-Officers responded to Berkeley Avenue on report of a theft from auto. The resident parked his vehicle on 10/7/2020 in the rear of his house and left it unlocked. On 10/10/2020 he noticed his glove box was ransacked and approximately $2.00 is change was taken. This incident is under investigation.
10/10/2020-An officer responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a theft from auto. The owner of the vehicle left her brown purse in her vehicle when she parked at Home Depot. When she returned to the vehicle, she observed that someone took her purse. The vehicle was left unlocked and the purse contained approximately $200.00 in cash, all of her identifications, credit cards and bank cards. This incident is under investigation.
10/11/2020-An officer responded to Franklin Street on report of a theft of motor vehicle parts. The resident parked her vehicle on the corner of Franklin Street and Parkway West on 10/10/2020 at 8:00 p.m. On 10/11/2020 she walked out to her car and noticed the mirrors from her driver side and passenger side were no longer on the vehicle. The mirrors are valued at $30.00 each. This incident is under investigation.
10/8/2020-An officer took a report of a stolen bicycle that occurred at 296 Glenwood Avenue (Jack’s Super Foodtown). The resident went to Foodtown on 10/08/2020 at 5:20 p.m. He secured his black "Ancheer" model electric-motorized bicycle to a bike station with a black wire-type lock on the sidewalk near the front entrance of the store. He then went inside the store to shop. When he returned at approximately 5:30 p.m., he discovered the wire lock cut and the bicycle was taken. This incident is under investigation.
10/7/2020-An officer responded to Orange Street on report of a stolen motor vehicle. The resident and owner parked her vehicle on 10/6/2020 in front of 19 Orange Street at 8:30 p.m. On 10/7/2020 at 6:00 a.m. she noticed her vehicle was missing. The vehicle is a 2006 white Ford van E350 NJ registration VUN22F. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.
