BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield Police arrested 42 year old Raynalod Cuevas of Davis Florida, charging him with multiple CDS charges.
The charges include Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with the intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute within a 1000 ft of Berkeley Avenue School, Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute 500 feet of Berkeley Heights Park, Possession of Prescription Legend Drug, Possession with intent to Distribute a Prescription Legend Drug and Money Laundering.
The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue and Willard Street. PO George Bambera and PO Michael Cumming observed a Jeep Liberty with an Illinois registration traveling at an excessive speed on Bloomfield Avenue with no lights on.
During the stop Officers observed in the rear seat a purple laundry type bag partially open with a clear plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. The bag was seized. It contained approximately 20 pounds of marijuana. Police also confiscated numerous pills identified as Adderall and $8,701.00 dollars in US Currency.
Police Director Samuel DeMaio praised the alert Police work of Officers Bambera and Cumming, “I am extremely pleased that we were able to apprehend this suspect who chose to come to our township for the purpose of distributing narcotics. We will work tirelessly to provide the best quality of life possible for our residents and eliminate this type of criminal activity”.
