BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Readers in Montclair woke to discover  Bloomfield's tween punk glam Jersey rock band Rockstar Racecar on the cover of TAPinto Montlcair Friday morning. The band will perform at the North Fullerton Arts Festival this Saturday May 6 in Montclair.  

Band manager Florine AnnMarie Skeres arranged for an early morning press conference on Friday. 

 "We're happy to kick off our summer this weekend at the North Fullerton fair," said Troy Donohue, singer  and guitarist for the band. "It's one of our favorite gigs, we had an awesome time last year with all the terrific musicians and the great crowd."

The North Fullerton Arts Festival is the start of the 'on the road' season for the band. In the coming months catch Rockstar Racecar at

Pushing Up Daisies Fest at Harismus cemetery in Jersey City May 20;

Lovecraft, the band's New York City debut June 9

Eastside Mags in Montclair Center for ' Make Music Day' Wednesday June 21

And headlining at the Nutley Farmers Market July 2

The band is led by the multitalented Troy Donohue on vocals, guitar and keyboards. The Wolverine masters percussion with Heaney killing it on bass. With lots of classic 70s punk and glam, the band keeps it rocking through parties and festivals.

Rockstar Racecar was named one of the "Names to Watch in 2017" and is watching.
