BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Daylight Savings Time officially ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.
While everyone will get an extra hour of sleep, the end of Daylight Savings Time means that it will get darker earlier. On Sunday, sunset is set for 4:48 p.m. Each day after that the sun will set one minute earlier until The Winter Solstice on December 21, 2017.
For early risers, they will see the sun a little earlier this Sunday as sunrise is set for 6:32 a.m. EST
Be sure to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and if they are more than 10 years old, replace them.
