EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Ete Szabo was returned to his East Brunswick family after having been missing from the township since last week.

According to the East Brunswick Police Department, Szabo was was located by the New York State Police on Saturday, March 3 at around 10:35 pm.  The NYSP spotted Szabo while on the officers were patrol in Riverhead, Long Island.  East Brunswick is about 122 miles from Riverhead.

Ete Szabo, 70, who suffers from memory loss, was reported missing by the EBPD on March 1, having last been observed leaving his residence at 11 pm on February 26 in his Dodge Ram pickup truck.

He was then seen at approximately 2:30 am on 2/27/17 (before he was reported missing) in Raritan Boro at the Route 202 Circle when there was a call to assist a motorist. At that time, Szabo advised authorities on the scene that he was going home.

Sometime later that morning, his vehicle was observed crossing the Lincoln Highway over the Hackensack River Bridge in Jersey City.

Szabo has now been reunited with his family.
