MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Human Needs Food Pantry put out a call this morning for turkeys.
More than half of the clients of the pantry live in Bloomfield. Some Bloomfield residents pick up their food at the pantry, many elderly and home bound clients have their food delivered to them in Bloomfield.
The message reads:
WE NEED TURKEYS! We start distribution to our clients today (Monday) and we are more than 200 turkeys BEHIND last year's number! If you were thinking about bringing a turkey and have not done so yet, PLEASE consider bringing one to us today! After we give out to all of our regular clients, we try to give out turkeys to the long line of people who show up at our pantry tomorrow night (Tuesday) just hoping to get one! We have just today and tomorrow to get it done!!!
Special drop-off hours for Thanksgiving food donations,, Monday (today) ., 11/20--8:30-2:30. We can take some last-minute donations on the morning of 11/21, and then we are closed until the following Tuesday (11/28). Please do not leave anything outside when we are closed.
THe Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair is located at 9 Label Street in Montclair, next to the parking lot for Egan and Sons.
