FLEMINGTON, N.J. – The Hunterdon County Prosecutor on Saturday alerted residents and announced that his office has joined in the search for an alleged child rapist who remains at large.

Authorities are seeking David Hamilton, 47, who has outstanding arrest warrants for multiple sex offenses against minors, said Anthony P. Kearns, III in a press release.

Hamilton was last seen at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 21, crossing the Calhoun Street bridge into Trenton.

Hamilton was wearing a hat, dark jacket, light colored shorts, sneakers and was riding a blue bicycle, Kearns said.

Authorities conducted an extensive ground and aerial search, Kearns said, and a K9 team from his office has responded and helped in the search.

Kearns said residents in western Hunterdon should be especially alert because of “interaction with Hamilton in New Hope.”

Kearns asks everyone to “remain vigilant” and call 911 immediately if Hamilton is seen.

The press release was issued jointly by Kearns and his Chief of Detectives Frank R. Crisologo.
