Join the Morris Canal Hike through Bloomfield November 4

BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield Morris Canal Greenway Committee, the Bloomfield Recreation Department and the Historical Society of Bloomfield are jointly sponsoring a Morris Canal Hike through Bloomfield on November 4. 

The three-mile hike will be led by Rich Rockwell and Ron Rice. The group will use historic maps and photographs to explore the path of the Morris Canal through Bloomfield. The group will then board a bus for a two-mile journey to the reclaimed portion of the canal at Oak Tree Lane. Everyone will then re-board the bus to return to the starting point.

Space is limited for this event and reservations are required. Based on the popularity of past walks interested parties are strongly enouraged to reserve their space as soon as possible. There is a $5 fee for the hike, this will cover the maps and twenty page handout with photos and color maps for the event.
