Montclair, NJ – The HOMECorp Board of Trustees is excited to announce that they have hired Melody Federico of Wayne as their next Executive Director starting April 2, 2018.
Federico was most recently the Chief Real Estate Officer at NewBridge Services in Pequannock, where she led the social service agency’s real estate arm – developing and operating affordable housing for special needs populations throughout Northern New Jersey. She is responsible for the development of more than 200 units of various models of affordable housing. Prior to NewBridge, she held roles at the Community Development Trust in New York and Monarch Housing Associates in Cranford.
Over the course of her career, Federico has become a champion of developing quality housing opportunities that emphasize community partnerships and neighborhood stability, “I am thrilled to join HOMECorp – to help carry on the great work that the agency and all of its stakeholders have developed for the past 30 years,” Federico noted.
Federico, a Certified Property Manager, is the current Treasurer of the New Jersey chapter of Institute of Real Estate Management and Chair of the Supportive Housing Associates of New Jersey. She also recently served as Chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council. She holds a BA in Public Administration from San Diego State University and is an alumnus of Montclair State University, where she received her MBA in 2007.
