MAPLEWOOD, NJ - When the Maplewood Farmers Market opens for its 23rd season on Monday, June 5, it will be in a new location. The market will be moving from the Indiana Street Municipal parking lot to 1848-1852 Springfield Avenue between Yale and Oberlin Streets, according to an update from the Township of Maplewood, which sponsors the market.
According to the update, advantages of the new space include ample parking (in the rear lot as well as along Springfield Avenue), and a larger space which will make it possible for additional vendors to take part in the market.
Market offerings will include Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, pickles and olives, breads, pastries and preserves, cheeses; prepared foods like steaks, burgers, crab cakes; gluten-free meals for "on the go" and olive oils, according to the update from the Township of Maplewood.
The market will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekly on Mondays from June 5 to November 20.
