NUTLEY, NJ - A Nutley Fire Department truck overturned on the Chestnut Street bridge over the Third River at approximately 9:45 p.m. Saturday night. The truck came to rest on its left side.

Officials on the scene were not able to comment on the situation or confirm what witnesses stated.When asked about injuries, firefighters on the scene stated they were not able to comment at this time. Two citizens on the scene told TAPinto Nutley that they did not believe there were any injuries to firefighters. TAPinto Nutley has not been able to confirm that information. 

Commissioner Alphonse Petracco told TAPinto Nutley that the investigation into the accident is being turned over to the Essex County Prosecutors Office.

This is a developing story and more information is expected in the morning.
