Outdoor Trends that Add Value to Your Home


June is here and it’s time to get outdoors plant your annuals Barbeque on that new grill or  host a patio party. But if your outdoor area isn't pleasing to look at, now is the time to get it in shape. Here are a few trends you'll want to focus on to give you the best value and punch to your outdoor space.

Outdoor living isn't just about being outside its about bringing the inside out.Today's best trend is that seamless transition from indoors to your outdoor patio deck or backyard space. You can find the best outdoor furniture, home décor, ottomans throw pillows made for outside use but have the look of an interior space and all at a reasonable price. Your backyard, porch or patio area has become an extension of your home and deserves the same attention. Add that fire pit area for evening conversations. You will love reading and sipping that iced tea or having morning coffee or entertaining family and friends.

Patio covers whether it is a sail shade, sun shade, trellis, or Arbor pergola or gazebo all are an extension of the house and are more popular than ever. Although sun, sail or umbrella offers a less expensive option, look for an umbrella with enough coverage and a cantilever so you can move it around as the sun moves across the sky. The outdoor space allows you to combine the many architectural elements and details that you already have and love in your home. This trend is showing no signs of slowing and having a covered area for lounging or dining can be a valuable addition to your home.

Bed Bugs Suspected at Verona High School

VERONA, NJ - Verona High School sent an email to parents Wednesday about a suspected case of bed bugs in the school.
