Nothing like running a few miles (3.1), working up a sweat, earning a medal and then toasting with friends with some good food and libations - especially at 10:30am on a Saturday morning!

Red Rock Tap + Grill was the site of the After Party for the runners participating in Red Bank Classic 5k. Go time started at 10:30am with Red Rock T+G offering Breakfast Specials and Drink Specials for hungry and thirsty runners and their supporters.
They were tired but still had the energy to party and congratulate each other for completing the race which started at Broad Street with a circular route finishing at a ways down from Monmouth Street.
In the Women's race, Erika Meling (510) placed first, followed by Adrianne Speranza (705) and Jennifer Woods (993). Meling thought that "The weather was near perfect for running excellent temperature with low humidity. It was a competitive course with a few nice hills and was fun to be in Red Bank".
Winner in the Men's was Ean Jaffe of Holmdel age 17, with a time of 17 minutes and 18 seconds. Jaffe said afterword “I really liked guy I was running with, he was great, encouraging me the entire time. I kicked it in right as I turned the corner for the straightaway finish and said I 'm going to give it all I have". Kerry O'Brien and Anthony Scamardella placed second and third respectively.

The runners we spoke to said it was a terrific day for a 5k: cool weather, low humidity, a well laid out race course and a very enthusiastic crowd.
