SUMMIT, NJ - The works of world-renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly will be the featured attraction when Reeves-Reed Arboretum road trips to the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx September 15 to view 'Chihuly Nights', Chihuly’s first major garden installation in New York in more than a decade.
Chihuly's creations dazzle with color, light and form – by day and night -- and will be part of a “living canvas” within the Botanical Gardens' landmark landscape and buildings. The sensory-filled exhibition is dramatic, and will be made even more so at night when the the artworks are spectacularly illuminated.
Among the singular sights is a monumental reimagination of his storied 1975 'Artpark Installation', reflecting the interplay and movement of color and light, set amidst the water features of the Native Plant Garden and the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory Tropical Pool.
