In the Autumn of 2016, Kenosha WI Police were alerted by Jarvis' internet service provider that there was a possibility that he was attempting to distribute child pornography. Police executed a search warrant of his home on October 20, 2016 In the ensuing interview with police, Jervis admitted that he had attempted to email videos and images of child pornography to his girlfriend who lives in another state. Jervis is married with children.
Details in the initial complaint indicated that Jervis admitted looking at child pornography and sending images for approximately five years. Images found on his laptop computer show children as young as two to four years old being sexually assaulted by adults.
Jervis was formally charged on Oct. 25 with 17 counts of possession of child pornography and four counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a child. At his April 2017 appearance in court Jervis entered the plea of 'no contest' on two charges of child exploitation and two charges of child pornography Two charges of child exploitation and 15 charges of possession of child pornography were dismissed at the time.
Jervis spent 25 years on the Bloomfield Fire Department before retiring in 2015. He moved to Kenosha in July 2015, and bought his home in August 2015. Public records indicate he was receiving a pension at the time the initial complaint was filed.
