RIDGEWOOD, NJ - Following leads after an unlocked vehicle was stolen from a driveway on Crest Road, Ridgewood police located the vehicle in Paterson and subsequently places a 37 year-old Bloomfield resident under arrest on September 5.

Throughout August and into September, multiple reports were made to the Ridgewood Police Department regarding burglaries to unlocked vehicles in the village. In each case the vehicle was park in a residential driveway. 

On September 3, an unlocked vehicle was stolen from the village and later found in Paterson. An investigation by the Ridgewood Police Detective Bureau led tot he arrest of Adam M. Gross of Bloomfield.

Gross has been charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle, five counts of burglary, and five counts of five counts of Theft of Moveable Property.   

The Ridgewood Police issued a reminder to lock your cars, even in your own driveway. The police also stated that motorists should not leave valuables visible in their vehicle at any time.
