RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns Does Not Disappoint

SECAUCUS, NJ - The rain poured down on Thursday night, but that didn't stop Halloween lovers from traveling to the Meadowlands Expo Center to see the debut of RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns in New Jersey.

RISE provides a unique, memorable family-friendly experience with over 5,000 hand-carved illuminated jack o’lanterns creatively arranged along a scenic walking path, set to a musical score. There is truly something for everyone: sports fans, horror movie buffs, Star Wars, Disney -- you name it.  

In addition to the individual Jack o'lanterns, RISE also features multi-pumpkin artistic structures including life-sized dinosaurs and dragons, princesses and storm troopers. They are truly larger than life.

Visitors can also take a peek behind the scenes and stop by multiple live carving stations to watch RISE's talented artists create the different displays seen in the show.

RISE will be a the Expo Center Friday Oct. 28 to Sunday Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Advance tickets are REQUIRED, with no tickets sold at the door. Ticket information can be found at www.therise.org/njny.

Rockstar Racecar Tour To Stop in Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Rockstar Racecar, the Bloomfield based punk glam rock band, will take take from performing on the road to make two appearances in the township.

On Friday July 13, Rockstar Racecar will perform at the BRG at 54 Broad St at 5:45 p.m.

On Wednesday Aug 8, they will perform at Bloomfield Center Cruise Nights on Broad St at Bloomfield Ave at 7:30 p.m.

Nutley Police Rescue Woman Locked in Burger King Restaurant

NUTLEY, NJ - Officers from the Nutley Police Department responded to a 911 call on Sunday at 5 a.m. from a woman who was locked in the Burger King restaurant off Franklin Ave.

The woman fell asleep in the ladies room sometime prior to closing and woke up only to find all of the employees gone and the doors locked. 

Nutley police responded and entered the building to allow her to leave.

BAYONNE, NJ – The case of a near lifetime supply of toothpaste that was taken from a Bayonne pharmacy has been solved.
