CLIFTON, NJ - The Shannon Rose Irish Pub, is offering free food for American athletes with local roots free food for life for if they break a world record this winter. The restaurant will also offer free food for four years to any local athlete who reaches the podium at the Olympic games.
As athletes compete from around the world the Shannon Rose Irish Pub will offer the following:
- Complimentary free food for life to any athlete with local roots who breaks a world record.
- Complimentary food for the next four years to any athlete with local roots who medals.
“It’s exciting to watch some of our nation’s most talented athletes compete against the best in the world, and even more special to be able to cheer on those who have ties to our area,” said Regan DeBenedetto, director of operations, The Shannon Rose Irish Pub. “We’re sending our best wishes and a little bit of our Irish luck to everyone competing, and also thought it would be fun to offer an extra incentive to athletes with local ties.”
For those who are joining the cheer squad at The Shannon Rose Irish Pub, its Clifton and Ramsey locations are featuring festive and fun drink features through February 25. Among them are the Red, White & Mule, which puts a patriotic spin on the classic mule thanks to Stateside Urbancraft Vodka, handcrafted in Philadelphia, and muddled strawberries and mint syrup, and Apple Pie on the Rocks.
The Shannon Rose Irish Pub will also host tournaments of its own at its Clifton and Ramsey locations on February 22 beginning at 9pm. Guests can compete in life-size games including giant Jenga and Connect 4 for the chance to win great prizes, bragging rights and land a spot on each pub’s podium.
