NEW YORK, NY -The first weekend of Summer in North Jersey will include a possibility of showers Saturday and Sunday according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Overnight, Friday into Saturday, the NWS predicts a 60% chance of precipitation after 3 a.m. of up to a quarter of an inch. During the day there is a 90% of rain of up to a half inch. There is a possibility of a thunderstorm as well.
Saturday night, there is an 80% chance of precipitation of up to a quarter of an inch. There is a chance of thunderstorms between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday. In the event of a thunderstorm, the total precipitation will be a higher amount.
Sunday morning starts with a slight chance of showers before 8 a.m. and then a chance of thunderstorms after noon. High temperatures on Sunday are expected in the mid-80s Sunday's chance of precipitation is 50%. There is a chance of showers Sunday night before midnight.
Clear skies are expected to return Monday and Tuesday.
