MAPLEWOOD, NJ - TAPinto SOMA and Village Green were designed as official electronic news sources to which notices and other matters are to be provided under the Open Public Meetings Act, after the unanimous passage of Resolution 17-18 at the Maplewood Township Committee Meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

The resolution included that the designation of the official electronic news sources was "to enhance transparency" and "to provide as many residents of the Township of Maplewood with notice of the activities of the Township and the Township Committee."

The designation of the two official electronic news sources is in addition to the Maplewood South Orange News Record and Star Ledger, which are both already designated by Maplewood as official papers for public notices.
