BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Unlocked vehicles have been an easy target for thieves in Essex County and Bloomfield. 

On August 21, several parked vehicles from the Oakes Pond Apartment complex located at 440 Memorial Parkway were burglarized during the overnight hours. Bloomfield police report there was no vehicle damage reported. They also reported that the vehicles were left unlocked.

On August 22, a vehicle parked on Morse Avenue was burglarized during the overnight hours. The owner discovered the interior of the vehicle had been rummaged through with an IPod missing. The vehicle was left unlocked.

On August 24, a Mercedes Benz parked on Broad Street was burglarized during the overnight hours. A wallet was stolen from the center console. The vehicle was left unlocked.
