Monday is Labor Day. It is the last holiday of summer and the unofficial end of the season.  Here’s what’s open and closed on the holiday:

Aldi, on Bloomfield Avenue at Watsessing Avenue  in Bloomfiled is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday.

Jack’s Foodtown in Bloomfield Center is open  6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday

Stop n Shop on Franklin Street is open 6 a.m. to midnight on Monday.

Super Stop n Shop on Broad Street Clifton is open 6 a.m. to midnight on Monday.

Brookdale ShopRite is open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday.

Turtle Back Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

The Bloomfield Parking Authority is closed Saturday September 3 through Monday September 5. There will be no enforcement of parking meters or permit only parking. Patrons of the Glenwood Garage will still have to pay for parking this weekend.

The Bloomfield Police Department is will hold a DUI checkpoint on Bloomfield Avenue in response to what the department described as a high number of drink driving incidents in that area.

Local, state and federal offices will be closed.

There will be no mail delivered on Monday.

New Jersey Transit will be operating on a weekend/holiday schedule.
